Terms of use

These terms cover the Foliva app for iPhone, the Foliva web app and this website. By using Foliva you agree to them. They’re written to be read.

Your account

You need an email address and a password to sync. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time from the app’s settings.

Your content

Everything you write, draw and add is yours. You give Foliva only the permission it needs to store your book, sync it between your devices and show it back to you. We don’t claim ownership of it and we don’t use it for anything else.

Don’t use Foliva to store or share things that are illegal, or that you don’t have the right to use.

Plans and payment

• Free: the notebook, everyday papers, fonts, drawing, sticky notes, photos and web sync, at no cost.
• Foliva Plus: $4.99 a month or $39 a year.
• Foliva Premium: $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, including everything in Plus.

You can subscribe on the web by card, with payments processed by Stripe, or in the Foliva app on iPhone through the App Store, where Apple’s terms apply to payment, renewal and refunds. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel it: a web subscription in the web app under Settings › Account › Manage billing, an iPhone subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Switching between Plus and Premium on the web is prorated. Prices are in US dollars and may change; a change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for.

Sage AI

Sage’s answers are written by an AI model. They can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything that matters, especially facts, figures and travel details, before you rely on it. Travel guides are a starting point, not a booking service or official advice. Fair-use limits apply to Sage so it stays fast for everyone.

The service

We work to keep Foliva running and your notes safe, but it’s provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep copies of anything you can’t afford to lose. Features may change as Foliva grows; if we ever end the service, we’ll give notice first.

To the extent the law allows, Foliva isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Foliva in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Fair use

Don’t try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or get into other people’s accounts. We may suspend an account that does.

TestFlight

Test builds of the iPhone app are pre-release: they can have bugs, and features can change before release. Apple’s TestFlight terms apply to them.

Changes

If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app for anything important. Questions: see Support. Privacy is covered in the privacy policy.
